Key functional responsibilities
•Document current, then define and implement improvements in the software configuration (OS and modules) of our Linux backend/middleware servers.
•Day to day maintenance & administration of Linux servers and network devices.
•Roll out of services to production platform and assist development team in "Standardising" applications for production where required, including documentation of design schemas and future roll out documents.
•Set up and use/build/specify administration and monitoring tools whereas required.
•Other administration duties within the department as required.

Candidate profile, experience and skill

•Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
•5-6 years experience of commercial systems administration, preferably in large hosting business.
•Networking knowledge with Cisco/Microsoft/Linux 
•Good problems analysis and solving skills.
•Excellent organisational and analysis skills

Technical skills
 
•Linux systems administration
•Perfect knowledge of PHP/Apache/Perl
•Networking skills (architecture and implementation)
•Load Balancing F5
•Clustering technologies
