Short Description : This a fantastic opportunity to join a fast growing international company.
Responsibilities
Working as part of a small European pre-sales team, this role is multi-dimensional, incorporating a variety of different skills including elements of pre-sales, support, installation and training.
The primary focus of the role is to provide technical pre-sales support to the European Sales team, involving, but not restricted to, the following:
• Traveling to customer meetings around Europe
• Conducting on site trials of products for prospects in Linux and UNIX environments
• Presentations to prospects & customers on the company technology, products and roadmap
• Workshops with prospects & customers to understand requirements and devise innovative solutions
• Answering RFx documents, sometimes in very short timescales
• Creating solutions proposals for prospects & customers |
Long Description : Additional roles include aspects of technical support and solution pre-delivery, involving for example:
• Supporting existing customers and prospects with problems/questions, including diagnosis, remediation and customer management.
• Coordinating or project managing activities and tasks between the company and prospects/customers.
• Managing installation and deployment of the company products at customers
• Giving training on the company products and technologies to customers and partners
Qualifications
The candidate must have extremely strong technical, communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, as well as good experience working with and understanding service provider customers.
The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge of, and enthusiasm for, the following topics:
• Internet Messaging Standards and Architectures
• UNIX and Linux Systems Administration
• Messaging Abuse Threats
• Anti-Abuse Mechanisms, Standards and Best Practices
• Networking and Computer Architectures
• Computer Security
• Service Provider Scalability and Reliability
They will also have strong skills in the following areas:
• UNIX/Linux Systems
• Programming, both compiled and scripted languages
• TCP/IP Protocols, Applications and related standards
